Will I actually use it, or will it end up collecting dust?
There's a simple test: how many appliances does it replace? PLENHAUS covers 16 cooking functions — air fry, grill, bake, roast, steam, slow cook, sous-vide, rice, dehydrate and more — with two interchangeable lids, so it takes over from the air fryer, oven, steamer, slow cooker, rice cooker and sous-vide. You're not adding a gadget to the counter, you're removing several from it. And because it's a full 8-litre family system rather than a two-person side appliance, it's the one you reach for on an ordinary Tuesday, not just for a treat.
I already have an oven. What can this do that it can't?
An oven heats a large box slowly; PLENHAUS heats a sealed 8-litre chamber with upper and lower elements plus circulating air, so it reaches temperature in a fraction of the time and cooks from both sides at once. More importantly, an oven can't do gentle cooking and crisp finishing in the same system — PLENHAUS switches between steaming, slow cooking and sous-vide on the glass lid, and air-frying, grilling and roasting on the grill lid. You get the soft, juicy results and the golden crust, without owning two machines.
Is it difficult to clean?
The ceramic-coated 8-litre pot, air-fry basket and racks lift out for cleaning. To protect the coating, we recommend washing the pot by hand with a soft sponge and mild washing-up liquid. Never immerse the base unit or grill lid in water or put them in the dishwasher. Follow the user manual’s instructions for cleaning each part.
Will the non-stick coating flake off over time?
This is the worry that stops a lot of purchases, and it's justified — basket coatings are the most common failure point, and the flakes scare people. PLENHAUS uses a premium ceramic coating, not conventional PTFE-type non-stick, and the pot is designed to be cleaned with a soft sponge rather than scoured. Use silicone, wood or plastic utensils, never metal, and don't cut in the pot — that's what actually damages a coating.
My kitchen is small. How much room does it take?
35 × 45 × 32 cm and 6.8 kg — roughly the footprint of a single large appliance, replacing around ten. That's the trade the r/Cooking threads keep circling: is the counter space worth it? It is, when one footprint removes several. And at 6.8 kg it can be moved to a cupboard if you'd rather keep the counter clear.
Will it hold a meal for my whole family?
An 8-litre ceramic pot serving up to six. Practically: a whole chicken with the potatoes crisping underneath it, in one go, one pot. That's the capacity that separates a real family system from a side appliance — and it's why the size question is the one people get wrong most often.
Does it include a recipe book?
Yes. Every PLENHAUS includes a 100-page recipe book with inspiring recipes, practical tips and cooking guidance.
What is included in the box?
